Former Kansas Senator Jean Schodorf is changing parties.

Schodorf, who lost to Michael O'Donnell in the Republican Primary for Kansas senate, will make the announcement official Monday.

She made the announcement via her Facebook page Sunday saying, "As a lifelong Republican, I feel as though the Republican Party, nationally and at the state level, no longer represents me.

Schodorf told KAKE News shortly after the primaries she had planned to change her affiliation.
