A Wichita man convicted of possessing thousands of child pornography images on his external computer drive sentenced to 14.5 years behind bars.
Barry Grissom, U.S. Attorney, said Elliott Bennett used encrypted peer-to-peer program to collect and distribute child pornography. Investigators found the images at Bennett's home in December of 2010. Authorities said Bennett hid the external drive in a tub of ashes next to a fireplace.
The 47-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of distributing child pornography last October. He was sentenced to 174 months in federal prison.
