A teenager is behind bars in connection to a series of home burglaries in west Wichita.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old boy in the 1400 block of N. Valleyview Tuesday afternoon. Police said the suspect left behind evidence that led to the arrest.

"One of the key elements that helped put this case together was that the homeowner did not touch anything," said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita police department. "That allowed our officers to come in and help process the scene."

Authorities recovered some of the stolen items during the arrest. Investigators said the suspect may be connected to at least three different crimes. Charges are pending.
