The Wichita Post Office announced Friday that the Munger Station at 1314 N. Oliver is nearly set to open. The station suspended operations last year following an electrical fire.
Post Office Box operations, temporarily moved to the Downtown Station, returned to Munger Station last week. Munger letter carriers, temporarily working at the Downtown Station & River City Station, returned this week. Customers can once again pick up left-notice mail at the Munger Station. Retail operations are expected to return in full on Tuesday, April 10.
Retail hours at the Munger Station will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
“We appreciate our customers’ patience while repairs were made to the facility, and we look forward to serving them again from the Munger Station,” said Wichita Postmaster Evie Tan-Todd and Munger Station Manager, Brenda Bishop.
