Intrust Bank Arena posted lower first quarter revenues from the same point last year.
In the first quarter, the arena made $3.24 million gross ticket sales. During the same time last year, the arena made nearly $3.7 million.
The total gross income, so far, is $1.6 million, while in 2012 it was about $1.9 million.
"This year our first quarter's a little slower than last year, mainly due to a couple of less concerts than we had," said A.J. Boleski, the arena’s general manager.
Boleski is optimistic that the following quarters will be stronger than the first quarter.
Also at the commission meeting today, Boleski presented a $253,260 check for the county's share of 2012 net operating income.
"It was a very successful year in 2012. We're glad to have a great partner in the county," said Boleski.
For 2011, the arena netted about $390,000.
