At around 2:30 Saturday morning, two men entered a home in the 1200 block of N. Illinois, southeast of 13th and West Street, and assaulted one of the home's occupants.

Wichita Police say two white males forced open the garage door and entered the residence. During a physical altercation between the suspects and the home's occupants, a 9mm handgun was retrieved from the suspects vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. An unidentified male victim was beaten unconscious with the gun, and the two men fled the scene.

The suspects, ages 23 and 24, were arrested and charged with aggravated battery, four counts of aggravated assault, and aggravated burglary. The gun was also recovered.

It is unknown if and how the suspects and victim know each other. The victim's name and condition has not been released.
