Michelle Obama says she wants to use her speech at the Democratic National Convention tonight to remind Americans of the values that drive her husband to do what he's done, "and what he is going to do for the next four years."
She says she will "take folks back to the man he was before he was president."
In an interview on SiriusXM's "The Joe Madison Show," the first lady says the president "he has grown so much" but his core character and values haven't changed at all.
It's the opening night of the convention in Charlotte, N.C.
Also tonight, the mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Julian Castro, delivers the keynote address.
President Barack Obama gives his acceptance speech on Thursday, the closing night. The speech is scheduled to be held outdoors at Bank of America stadium, so organizers are keeping a close eye on the weather forecast.
