The governors of Missouri and Kansas meet with Kansas City business leaders to discuss President Barack Obama's proposed economic stimulus package.
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius are attending the annual governor's summit Tuesday, sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
The two will discuss how the stimulus package could create jobs for Missouri and Kansas, as well as benefits for private businesses and infrastructure projects for local government.
It will be the first summit for Nixon, who was elected last year. And it could be the last for Sebelius, who is reportedly a top pick to become the secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
