President-elect Barack Obama has begun his inauguration day by attending a service at St. John's Church near the White House.
He's continuing a tradition followed by many incoming presidents before him, at what's been dubbed the "Church of the Presidents."
Obama and his wife, Michelle left Blair House across the street from the White House for the short ride to the church Tuesday morning, even as a huge crowd gathered in front of the U.S. Capitol building and across the National Mall to witness his swearing-in at midday.
Before heading to the Capitol, the Obamas will be joining President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, at the White House for coffee.
