Gov. Kathleen Sebelius says a job in President-elect Barack Obama's administration is still a possibility in the future.
During an interview Tuesday, the Kansas Democrat said she believes Obama will be president for eight years. She said a job in Washington is "one of the doors that will continue to be open."
But she also says she has made no decisions about her future.
Sebelius took herself out of consideration for Obama's Cabinet earlier this month, citing the state's budget problems. In doing so, she said it was "not a forever-and-ever choice."
Her comments Tuesday cast doubt on speculation that her decision was a sign that she intends to run for the Senate in 2010. State law prevents her from seeking a third term as governor.
