Elections officials in Pittsburg say a programming glitch in some of their voting machines may have switched votes in some local races Tuesday.
Crawford County Clerk Don Pyle says his office discovered the error and would discuss it during a canvassing board meeting today.
Pyle told the Pittsburg Morning Sun that the error may have affected three races but wouldn't say which ones.
County Attorney candidate Michael Gayoso Jr. said Pyle told him the glitch may have affected his race and that he may have picked up a total of three votes.
The Republican Gayoso is already 70 votes ahead of incumbent Democrat John Gutierrez. The race is still too close to call and awaiting officials to count provisional ballots on Monday.
