Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is helping GOP challenger Lynn Jenkins in her campaign for the 2nd Congressional District seat.
The Jenkins campaign had a private fundraiser with Romney scheduled Wednesday at a Topeka home. The price for a spot inside varied from $250 to $2,000, with the latter amount getting the donor a picture with Romney. Couples can spend up to $2,500.
Romney, also a former Massachusetts governor, then planned to have a 1:30 p.m. news conference with Jenkins at the Kansas Republican Party's headquarters.
