Sen. Pat Roberts has raised more than $5.2 million for his re-election campaign.
The Republican is seeking his third term in the Senate against Democrat Jim Slattery, a former congressman for the 2nd District of eastern Kansas.
Roberts announced Friday that he raised almost $954,000 during the third quarter of this year. He ended the quarter on Sept. 30 with $1.8 million on hand.
Before the third quarter, Roberts had enjoyed a 4-to-1 advantage in campaign funds over Slattery.
Slattery spokeswoman Abbie Hodgson didn't immediately return a telephone message.
