Alaska Governor Is McCain VP Pick

Video will be available shortly.

A campaign source says Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is John McCain's choice for Vice President.

Palin is a 44-year-old self-styled "hockey
mom" and political reformer.
An announcement is scheduled today in Dayton, Ohio.

An associate says Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has been
informed he is not McCain's pick. Pawlenty has all but ruled
himself out.

Associates close to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney
say the former presidential candidate has not been offered the job
by McCain.

Other possible choices that have been tossed about include
former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, Democrat-turned-independent
Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and former Congressman Rob
Portman of Ohio.
