In exchange for no jail time, a woman and her adult daughter have agreed to stand outside a Pennsylvania courthouse holding signs saying they stole a gift card from a 9-year-old girl on her birthday.

This would work for stupid decisions. but not murder or something..yes, humilitation is the best

That is great!!!! To bad this doesn't happen more often. I can remember when I was really young, I picked flowers from our neighbors yard. My mom marched me over there and made me appologize to the lady and offer my time to work on something to repay her for taking her flowers. My mom said you never ever take anything (even if it is sitting right there in the open), unless you have received permission from the owner. Humility is the best lesson.
