Just call the governor -- Shoeless Joe. West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin showed up at a news conference yesterday without his shoes.

But the governor wasn't forgetful, just charitable.

Manchin was barefooted to promote an international relief effort that provides shoes for children. Samaritan's Feet International wants to collect 10 million pairs of shoes for kids worldwide.

So far, organizers say they've got nearly a million pairs.
