Glastonbury, Conn. -- Two teenage girls who were arrested after their parents called the cops on them for throwing a drinking party appeared in court this week.

The girls showed up in court in Glastonbury, Conn., Tuesday, but the result of the hearing was kept secret along with the names of the girls.
Despite the secrecy, what is known is that the girls’ parents came on Sunday, Oct. 13, and surprised their daughters who expected the adults to show up on Monday. The girls had thrown a drinking party while the parents were gone, police said.

“The parents were supposed to come home on Monday, but they decided to come home on Sunday evening instead,” said Glastonbury Police Agent Jim Kennedy. “The parents interrupted a party of about 15 to 20 kids, and the kids started leaving.”

When police arrived at the house on Neipsic Road, there were still kids who were running from the house. The parents called the cops.
The daughters, who are 15 and 16, were issued juvenile summons and have to appear in juvenile court.

They were charged with permitting minors to possess alcohol.
