Couple Sought In Burning Of Boy Found At Fla. Theme Park

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Authorities say a New Hampshire couple suspected of abusing the woman's 3-year-old son have been arrested at a theme park in Orlando, Fla., after two weeks on the run.

U.S. marshals say they arrested 23-year-old Jessica Linscott and her boyfriend, 27-year-old Roland Dow, on Wednesday at Universal Studios following a parade they had been watching. The couple were wanted in connection with burns and head injuries to Linscott's son.

Police received a call two weeks ago from a New Hampshire hospital where the boy was being treated. Rockingham County Attorney Jim Reams says tips helped find the couple.

Linscott is from Plaistow. She's accused of failing to get medical attention for her son and failing to protect him. Dow is charged with assault.

They're in custody and can't be reached for comment. They're to be arraigned Thursday.
