WASHINGTON - It's usually not fun to fall off a moving bicycle. And the government warns two makes of bicycles could make you fall, due to a defect.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports two makes of bicycles are being recalled - the 2014 Scott Speedster 30 and 40, and Contessa Speedster 25 and 35 road bicycles. The steerer tube in the front fork can break, posing a risk of falling.
The bikes were sold in black and white with blue, green, purple or teal accents. They were sold from about August 2013 through May 2014 for between $1,000 and $1,300.
