WASHINGTON - The government has ordered a recall of Rayovac flashlights, because of a potential burn risk.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports the LED flashlights made during most of 2012 and 2013 can overheat the batteries. That could make the plastic casing of the light bulb melt and lead to burns.
Spectrum Brands reports a dozen melting cases have been reported by the public, with no injuries so far.
