Investigators 'Zeroing In' On Cause Of Colorado Wildfire

Sheriff's officials say they have now recorded more than 500 homes leveled by the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history.

El Paso County sheriff's officials on Monday updated their tally of homes destroyed in the Black Forest Fire near Colorado Springs to 502.

The fire that broke out last week has also has left two people dead.

Sheriff Terry Maketa says local, state and federal investigators are "zeroing in on the point of origin" of the blaze, which is nearing full containment. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Elsewhere in the West, a wind-whipped blaze in California has forced evacuations and threatened homes near Yosemite National Park.
