A series of regional meetings giving Kansans a chance to voice concerns about the state's next 10 year transportation plan continues in Hutchinson.

The T-LINK task force kicked off the community tour in Ulysses earlier this month.

K-DOT hopes these meetings will shed some light on what citizens hope to see in their communities. They offer an open forum to express concern over highway, rail, transit and aviation projects.

Members of the task force say the largest concerns have to do with improving industrial transport and export.

Hutchinson leaders say their first concern is to make sure the widening of K-61 remains a top priority for the next plan. They also hope to commence improvements on K-96, a project to which K-DOT has already pledged its support.
