Shockers down Oklahoma State after ace declared ineligible

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Dusty Coleman hit a two-run home run
and Aaron Shafer pitched a five-hitter for his third complete game
of the season, helping Wichita State beat top-seeded Oklahoma State
5-3 tonight.
Coleman's home run to right field off Tyler Blandford in the
fourth inning tied the game at 2, and Conor Gillaspie put the
second-seeded Shockers ahead with his RBI single in the fifth.
Josh Workman added a run-scoring infield single in the fourth,
and Andy Dirks had an RBI single in the fifth to extend Wichita
State's lead. Shafer struck out 10 and walked one.
Oklahoma State announced earlier in the day that left-hander
Andrew Oliver was ineligible. Oliver was 7-2 with a team-high 96
strikeouts and a 2.20 ERA, lowest among the Cowboys' starters.
