The Air Force Academy says up to 78 cadets cheated on an online calculus test by getting help from a website.
The academy said in a news release Tuesday that most of the cadets took responsibility for their actions and have begun a six-month remediation program that includes reflection, writing in journals and mentoring.
The news release didn't say how many of the cadets are in the remediation program. It wasn't immediately clear whether any cadets faced harsher consequences.
Cheating is a violation of the academy honor code. Penalties for violating the code range from probation to expulsion.
The academy says the cadets acted individually and there was no evidence of collusion.
The academy says cadets were allowed to use the website involved for homework but not for the test.
