Ten U.S. military officers and one from Argentina are about to complete the first year of a new collaboration with the University of Kansas.
The officers will earn master's degrees in supply chain management and logistics this weekend through the university's school of business. They completed the degrees while also attending the Army's Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth.
Each of the officers has combat or peacekeeping experience. The degree builds on their military skills in supply and logistics, while incorporating best practices from the civilian sector.
The director of the program is Greg Freix, a retired Army colonel. He said based on the success of the first year and interest from other officers, the program was likely to expand in coming years.
