A soldier from Wisconsin assigned to Fort Riley has been killed in Afghanistan.
According to the Department of Defense, Staff Sgt. Jesse J. Grindey, 30, died March 12, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan. Details of his death have not been released.
Grindey was assigned to 287th Military Police Company, 97th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, Fort Riley, Kan.
