A Manhattan, Kan., woman was killed in a crash Saturday afternoon on the city’s north side.
It happened around 4:45 p.m. at the junction of Turtle Creek Boulevard and South Dam Road.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 88-year-old Betty Clark’s minivan was driving northbound on South Dam Road and was hit by a Toyota while crossing Turtle Creek Boulevard. The Toyota caught fire and was completely burned, reports state.
Clark was flown to a Topeka hospital where she later died.
The 19-year-old driver of the Toyota was not hurt.
