In just a matter of weeks the old Coleman plant in downtown Wichita will come down, in its place, a parking lot for the Old Town area, but before that happens, two Wichita photographers are working to preserve the past.
Mark Miranda and Jeff Cowell took us inside the building for an exclusive look at their plans. The two are photographing the historic site at Second and St. Francis. The building has been abandoned for years. It has a history of code violations and has been vandalized. The two men came up with the idea to preserve the history in pictures because of Coleman's deep roots in Wichita.

"We've had a chance to meet a lot of the people who worked for Coleman for years and years and years," said Miranda, "and you can see the passion is not just for the company but for the building itself."

The building will be demolished in a couple of weeks. Miranda and Cowell will put together an art showing for the final Friday in April. It will be held in Old Town. A parking lot will take the place of the old building.
