Local authorities have cited two Wichita businesses for selling alcohol to minors.
Officers held a compliance check with the Alcohol and Beverage Control agency Wednesday night. Police checked 25 businesses during the operation. Two were cited for selling alcoholic beverages to underage drinkers.
The violations were found at Felipe’s, 445 S. 119th St. West, and Shoeless Joe’s, 2315 W. 21st St.
Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita police, said this is the second compliance check within weeks.
“We do this regularly as part of routine enforcement,” he said. “We want to be proactive against underage drinking.”
The businesses could be subject to various fines per city ordinances.
