Two people were flown to a Wichita hospital late Thursday night after a one-car, rollover crash in northwestern Cowley County.
The crash happened about 10 p.m. near 132nd Road and Cowley 3, just northeast of Oxford, or six miles south of Udall.
Cowley County Sheriff's Deputies tell our news partners at KSOK Radio the car was northbound on Cowley 3 when Mateo Rodriguez, 18, of Wichita, passed another vehicle and lost control. The car entered the ditch, hit a pole and flipped.
Emergency crews had to cut the doors off the car to free Rodriguez and his passenger, Lauren Olivia, 28, of Paola. Both were flown Wesley Medical Center in Wichita by separate medical helicopters.
