The family of a missing Overland Park man who has been missing since last week say he was found dead in Bates County, Missouri.
A Silver Alert was issued for David Lee Dotson, 66, after he was reported missing last Friday.
Dotson's family told KMBC that his body was found in a car in Bates County, Missouri, on Wednesday.
The family said he appeared to have suffered a medical emergency and police told KMBC that they don't suspect foul play.
Police said a pastor in the area noticed the car parked for several days and decided to check on it. It's not known how long the car had been there.

Overland Park police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing man.
David Lee Dotson, 66, of Overland Park, was last known to be at his home on Thursday morning. He may be wearing blue jeans, a yellow polo style shirt, gray tennis shoes and glasses.
Dotson is an insulin dependent diabetic. He may be driving a red 2004 Toyota Highlander with Kansas tag 328CGM.
