The Sedgwick County Sheriff Office conducted a saturation patrol Friday evening, focused on seat belt violations.
From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., extra deputies patrolled the county specifically looking for those not buckled up. A total of 33 citations were issued for adults not using their seat belts.
One citation was written for child restraint violations, while 23 tickets were issued for other offenses. One person was arrested for DUI.
A second person was taken into custody for weapons violations. The saturation patrol was funded through a grant by Kansas Department of Transportation.
