A Salina man suffered minor injuries after being shot in the ear during an altercation with his neighbor late Monday morning.
Officers were sent to the 1300 block of East Ellsworth Avenue around 11 a.m.
When they arrived on scene, they found Ed Smith, 43, had been shot once in the left ear. He was treated by EMS at the scene, said Salina Police Lt. Scott Siemsen.
Shannon Howell, 34, who lives next door to Smith, was arrested for aggravated battery.
