An elderly man has died, one day after he was hit by a vehicle while walking across the street. It happened just before 4 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of East Avenue A and North Poplar in Hutchinson.
Police say Neil Kralicek, 73, was in the crosswalk when he was struck. He was taken by helicopter to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. He died from his injuries Monday. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
