Wichita Police are investigating the shooting of a man early Saturday morning on the city's south side.
It happened around 1 a.m. in the 3000 block of South Rutan. That's near 31st Street South and Hillside.
Paramedics rushed a man to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.
No new information was released during Saturday's briefing with Wichita police.
