A Wichita man accused of threatening his family was injured while resisting arrest on New Year's Day.
Around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 1000 block of North Water.
Police said a husband and wife got into an argument, leading the 42-year-old man to allegedly point a gun at the 29-year-old woman and their 12-year-old daughter.
When officers arrived, they ordered the man to come outside. He complied twice, but went back inside each time.
Because officers were unsure if he was armed, they tased the man the third time he came out of the house. The man fell, breaking several ribs and his clavicle.
After he was taken to the hospital, officers found a loaded gun just inside the front door.
The suspect's wife suffered minor injuries before police arrived. He could face several charges, including one from a previous warrant.
