Man Critically Hurt In Sedgwick County Crash

One person suffered critical injuries in an accident in south Sedgwick County. It happened just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday night at East 79th Street South and Hillside east of Haysville.
Investigators say a man in his 30s was driving a pickup truck northbound on Hillside when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve in the road. The truck flipped over and the man was ejected. The truck then came to rest on top of the man, pinning him underneath.
Another driver discovered the accident and called 911. Emergency crews were able to free the man and he was taken to a Wichita hospital in critical condition.
The accident is under investigation. The victim's name has not been released.
