Kansas Sheriff Arrested For Alleged Methamphetamine Distribution
Officials say Rooks County Sheriff Randy Axelson has been arrested on probable cause of methamphetamine distribution.

Officials say Rooks County Sheriff Randy Axelson, 43, has been arrested on probable cause of methamphetamine distribution.
Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents arrested Axelson following an investigation into a suspected drug distribution operation. KBI agents, Rooks County Sheriff deputies, Stockton and Plainville police officers conducted the investigation.
Rooks County Attorney Ed Agemane made an official request for the KBI investigation on Tuesday and appointed Ellis County Attorney Thomas Drees as special prosecutor in the investigation.
Axelson is being held in the Ellis County Jail. Bond will be set at a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
