A Hutchinson worker was injured today in an industrial accident.
Reno County Sheriff's deputies were called to Finco, Inc, 1806 E. Wasp at 7:00 a.m.
Investigators said Jeff Wayne Ball, 39, was trying to reposition a horizontal drill bit that weighs several hundred pounds. The bit fell to the ground, pulling Ball down with it.
Ball landed on his neck. He was flown to Via Christi Health-St. Francis, complaining of severe pain in his neck, shoulders and back. He is in fair condition.
