Authorities say a man is dead and another has been charged with murder after a stabbing in Dodge City during the weekend.
Dodge City police chief Craig Mellecker says two men were taken to the hospital Saturday night with stab wounds.
One of the men, 22-year-old Jesus Ortiz, later died. The second man, 52-year-old Alfredo Gasca-Aldama of Garden City, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder.
Gasca-Aldama was formally charged with second degree reckless murder Monday afternoon.
Further information about the circumstances of the stabbings were not released.
