4-Plex Fire Under Control In North Wichita

Crews have extinguished a fire at 4-plex in north Wichita.

The fire started shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of North Kansas, near I-135.

Initial fire crews on scene reported heavy smoke and fire throughout the entire structure. The building is believed to be abandoned.

Firefighters put the fire out in about 15 minutes.

The cause is under investigation.
