Voters in Harper County have rejected a bond issue for improvements to Chaparral High School by a narrow margin.
The vote was held Tuesday and have provided around $4.4 million dollars to add a new practice gym to the high school that would double as a storm shelter. 483 voters voted against the bond issue, while 445 supported it.
Approval would have meant about a $3 a month in additional taxes on a $100,000 home. For full bond issue vote results, click here.
