Sedgwick County deputies looking into reports of a dog bite found a different type of dangerous animal at Lake Afton today.
Deputies responding to a campground on the east side of the lake found a small alligator inside a camper. Investigators believe a family was camping at the lake with their two dogs and pet alligator. "The last thing we want is something like that loose in water in Kansas", said Sedgwick County Sheriff's Major Michael Oliver.
Animal Control officers confiscated the alligator as a dangerous animal.
