A roadside bomb has killed at least five Afghans and wounded 13 others who work clearing mines across southern Afghanistan.

A roadside bomb has killed at least five Afghans and wounded 13 others who work clearing mines across southern Afghanistan.
Authorities say the bus belonging to the U.S.-supported Demining Agency for Afghanistan was struck early today as it traveled through Kandahar province.
The mines are a legacy of 25 years of near-continuous warfare, and continue to kill scores of Afghans each year.
Meanwhile, NATO says an Afghan soldier shot and lightly wounded a Polish soldier with whom he had been arguing. The Afghan soldier fled after the shooting today and was being sought by Afghan and international forces.
