Report: N. Korea Creates Medium-Range Missile Division For Army
North Korea reportedly has created an army division in charge of newly developed intermediate-range missiles capable of striking U.S. forces in Japan and Guam.

North Korea reportedly has created an army division in charge of newly developed intermediate-range missiles capable of striking U.S. forces in Japan and Guam.
Forces in those areas would be redeployed in time of emergency on the Korean peninsula.
South Korea's Yonhap news agency reports the missiles have a range of more than 1,860 miles.
The report doesn't say how many missiles the new division has or where they are positioned.
The report comes as North Korea has stepped up its war rhetoric against the U.S. and South Korea after the allies started their annual military drills aimed at improving their defense capabilities.
South Korea's Defense Ministry says it can't confirm the report. However, a ministry document published last year shows that the North deployed a new type of medium-range missile.
