People who gathered in New Orleans in hopes of celebrating a Saints' Super Bowl victory have been enjoying coffee and beignets (ben-YAYZ') following their all-night party -- still decked out in Saints jerseys and team colors.

One fan who came from nearby Gulfport, Miss., says he pulled his first all-nighter in at least 15 years celebrating the Saints' 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl in Miami. Richard Bourland calls it a "once-in-a-lifetime event."

Crews on Bourbon Street have been cleaning up the remnants of the street party that began before the game ended.

One man who was still on Bourbon Street at dawn says that after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, "everyone was hurting." Derek Stevens says the NFL team "was the one thing we had that was positive, that made us hopeful."

As the Times-Picayune newspaper put it, "After 43 years, our prayers are answered."
