Video shot by a storm chaser of an F-4 tornado tearing apart a Kansas home is being seen nationwide.

Now, the family who was underneath the tornado sees the storm in a way they haven't seen it before.

Randy and Linda Robbins live just outside the Harper County town of Attica.

The couple lived through the tornado a storm chaser caught on tape. After seeing video of the storm, they have a better understanding of what they survived.

KAKE News showed the tape to the Robbins, including slow motion video. Until they saw the videotape, they didn't get the full impact of what they had survived.

When storm chaser Scott McPartland taped the tornado striking the Robbins' home, he could only hope they weren't inside.

"There was somebody in that house. There were two somebodies in that house," says Linda. "He didn't know."

The Robbins had just made it to the basement. Seeing the videotape gives them a whole new appreciation for what they had survived.

"We had just made it down there." Linda says. "Randy was standing at the top of the stairs, and I had run down the hallway trying to get into the bathroom and the wind kept blowing me back. He hollered, 'Come on we're going to the basement,' and we had no sooner got down there, and the French doors blew in, and the roof went off. If we had known what was going on when we were down there, we might have been scared, but we didn't have time to get scared. It was so fast."

They're just truly thankful to be alive tonight to share their story.
