More businesses are now jumping on to the Black Friday bandwagon, offering huge sales.
Discounting some merchandise for the holidays is par for course at the Golf Warehouse. But this year they've gone all out.
"We've gotten more aggressive," said Manager Brian Jones.
For the first time the store advertised and sent out email blasts, hoping to bring in more foot traffic. The new Black Friday technique seems to have worked.
"It started right away at eight o'clock. We opened 15 minutes early because there were cars waiting in the parking lot," said Jones.
While people were waiting in cars at Golf Warehouse, most people don't think of lining up at a car lot for Black Friday deals. But that's just what happened at Mel Hambelton Ford.
"WE opened at six a.m. and we had people who spent the night here waiting on our special deal. We had 30 to 40 people waiting in line and sold our first 10 in 15 minutes," said Sales Manager Phil Nightengale.
So what drew so many people out? Cars on sale for only $99. They also offered other deals like raffles for televisions sets. This is the first dealership in town to join in on the Black Friday bonanza. It started last year.
"Wow! We had a great response. So we decided to do it again this year and had an equally good response," said Sales Manager Cedric Hunt.
For those who missed out on Friday, don't worry. Most stores are offering bargains through the weekend.
