Fatal Accident In North Wichita
One person is pronounced dead on the scene after a car accident in the 2500 block of N. Broadway.

UPDATE:

A man is dead after his car hit a pole in the 2500 block of N. Broadway around 2:30 this morning. A passerby saw the remnants of the accident and called 911.

The back half was against the pole and the front half was sheared off and landed in a ravine, which is where investigators found the victim.

Authorities say speed may have played a factor in the crash, but they are still investigating.

No word yet on if alcohol played a role in the accident.

The victim is a man in his twenties, but police have yet to release his identity.

Investigators are asking for anyone who might have witnessed the crash to contact police.
