Fire investigators are trying to find out what caused a weekend mobile home fire.

The woman who lived there wasn't home when the fire broke out, but her pets were.

Fire fighters were able to save some of the kittens from the burning home and neighbors helped give the cats oxygen.

The neighbor who called 911 says it looked like the fire started near the air conditioner.

"It just looked like to me that wires were on fire. So I just kind of jumped back because I didn't want to get burned," says Rust Isham, who called 911. "I tried running through the back door, but I couldn't really get in the back door cause of all the smoke."

No fire fighters were hurt, but they had to be very careful not to overheat in the extreme heat.

The mobile home was a total loss.
